Great vision and Voices Initiatives (GVVI) is an independent, non- governmental and non-profitable uniformed youth organisation founded on the 10th of November 2024 in AKWA IBOM STATE, Nigeria principally by a youth development advocate and strategist, PATRIOT Samuel Ephraim Udoma , with the support of like-minded youths with vast experiences in different sectors to promote national creativity, environmental and youth development. It is registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) on 03th December, 2024 in accordance with the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAp,C20 ,LFN), 2024 of the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, LFN with a registration number, CAC/IT/8117561. The state ministries of youths and sport development /ministries of women affairs and social welfare granted the organization a license to operate in the state as a Non-Governmental Organization with Ref. No.:Aks/YME/00512/ dated 10th FEBRUARY, 2024. GVVI brings the right people together to challenge, established thinking and drive transformation.

At GVVI, we believe that well-oriented young people possess the power to solve National toughest problems, and for over several years, we have led and sustained coordinated action to harness the talents and potentials of Nigeria’s young people. His leadership journey:

🟦Volunteer, Community Development Project: Led initiatives that promoted youth empowerment, education, and environmental sustainability.

🟦Coordinate, Youth Empowerment Program : Organized training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance leadership skills and community engagement among young people.

🟦President, Great Vision and Voices Initiative : Guided the team in identifying community needs, developing solutions, and executing impactful community development projects.

Key Accomplishments include:
🟦 Implemented mentorship programs for young leaders, fostering leadership skills and community involvement.

🟦 Developed partnerships with stakeholders to secure funding and resources, ensuring the sustainability of empowerment initiatives .

🟦 Mobilized community support to address local challenges, working with community members to develop lasting solutions .

The cardinal aim of GVVI is to develop the youths on the attributes of skills, good citizenship, positive work ethics, sound leadership qualities, environmental sustainability ,medical outreach for the elders and to stimulate their interest towards the onerous task of nation-building.

GVVI is Nigeria's foremost voluntary youth organization and youth self-support initiative and volunteerism have been taken as the basis for all GVVI intervention and environmental management activities to enable them to contribute positively towards the mainstreaming of social development process. It has had partnership with the local and international organization such as state ministries, Nigerian network of NGO's(NNGO) and its affiliate bodies, UN global compacts, National association of uniform voluntary organization , State ministry of youth and sport development , State ministry of women affairs and social welfare , Environmental degradation organization of Nigeria,Millinium Environmental organization of Nigeria. In carrying out its mandate, the organization align it'self with various organizations in Nigeria and Africa as a whole .

ORGANS OF THE Organisation

The Board,being the highest organ of the organization is the legal custodian of the Constitution and all assets of the organization.Besides its power to authorize Court Case(s)/Law Suit(s) in the name of the organization, it is the final arbiter of any crisis in the great vision and voices initiative.

This is a body of Patrons, Patronesses, Fellows, Ambassadors and Advisers given honourably to men and women of proven integrity in recognition of their contributions to the great, growth and stability of the Country. The members shall be dynamic and innovative, as their good roles are important in accomplishing the great vision and voices initiative’ Aims and Objectives.

This body is headed by the President and it serves as a think-tank, policy-making and advisory body towards the effective implementation of the aims and objectives of the organization. Members of the Council are appointed and report to the the President. Members of the Council comprise of the Board of Trustees, Vice President, Assistant National Coordinator, Zonal Coordinator and all the State Coordinators.

This is a body having as Chairman the President and its membership comprises of all appointees at the national level. It is charged with the responsibility of implementing the policies and programmes of the organization at the national level. Its business is to identify, oversee, check-mate and review the activities of the organization periodically as to ensure that they are in conformity with the vision, mission and core mandate of the organization as well as meet national needs and aspiration.

This Council has as its members all the 36 State Coordinator, including that of the Federal Capital Territory and its existence was not only expedient but imperative for the State Coordinator to assert themselves and to collectively work towards the execution and maintenance of all policies, directives and programmes as directed by the President. The executive powers in each of the State Coordinators shall be vested in the State Coordinator and be exercised by him either directly or through his Deputy or other State member(s) of the great vision and Voices Initiatives. The Council is to elect for itself a Chairman,  Vice Chairman and Secretary to manage its internal affairs.

MANPOWER STRENGTH AND GEOGRAPHICAL SPREAD

Membership of the Corps is open to all Nigerian youths within the ages of 18-35 irrespective of religion, tribe, sex, political affiliations or status with a minimum academic qualification of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination or its equivalents. Thus far, GVVI has a membership strength of over Over 50,000 member. youths comprising of very well-trained members, regular members and volunteers (mostly graduates of different disciplines).

As an organized grass-rooted and organic body with membership well spread across the nation, GVVI has its headquarters in the AKWA IBOM STATE, AKS with a web of membership and a well-structured network of branches across Nigeria.
